The Aircrew Tale
As there lay hanging with a strike of vanity
On the hanger of my cupboard
A dress in tint of black and red
That speaks of chronicles, of most often unsaid,
Who adorns it, lives and dreams in it, to never perish
While to live a life beyond futile anguish!!
The glitz and glamor is woven by
The call for duty with measures of safety
Where consideration is decorated
With pleasant attitude, words mostly ornamented
A keen spy in the skies for foes and follies
The uniform speaks of standard beyond possibilities!
With the best of ability, insight and attention
And honour towards commitment for duty
A lass, a lad arises up towards the sky,
Some tantrums, sometimes annoying, but never questions ‘why’,
Where their ‘second home’ hospitality prevails,besides,
In their voice of authority, humanity also resides!!!
As the resume of flights awaits for all
In this hour of distress and pandemic
Flight attendants anticipates countdown for obligation,
While most performs as ‘line of work’ without hesitation,
Others long for its worthy recompense with success!!!
And everyone awaits the skies with wings of bouncing prowess!!
